Overseea portfolio of 'complex' projects, owning overall responsibility fortheir successful on time completion and delivery to business
case- Lead a team of project professionals who are capable of planningand deploying complex projects on-time, on-scope and in line
withrevenue / margin objectives - Allocate resources to projects andprograms in the portfolio effectively based on pipeline(s) in termsof
bothcost and headcount (including external resources)
Monitorproject risks and review project performance to ensure they aredelivered on-time, on-scope and that project P&Ls meet or
Proactivelyforecast and make resource decisions to allocate project resourceseffectively, based on pipeline(s) of in
termsof both cost and head-count (maximizing utilization and balancingwith capacity planning).
Peoplemanagement : Based on organization design and needs, continuouslyreview, recommend and maintain the optimum structure for the team incontributing to the annual capacity and skills strategy.
Identify,recruit, performance manage (with input from co-workers and customersas appropriate), train and develop via regular coaching &feed-
back the right people as required to build a strong ProjectManagement Team
Provideinput on resource requirements, feasibility (specifically that theproposed solution can be delivered) costs and resource feasibility toBid or Product Management team(s) as part of the pre-
sales orstage-gate process if a Project Manager has not been assigned
Ensuresuccessful transition of completed projects to service operations(SGS) or to delivery teams as per defined processes
Bethe first point of escalation for projects within the "standard"projects portfolio, taking responsibility to resolve issues.
Wherenecessary, escalate to Project Portfolio Director
Proactivelysupport individual project managers in the team to bring projectsback on track in case of issues
Ensureapplication of global standards, tools, processes, and practices(e.g. lessons learned) for project delivery and project
managementas defined by (and as a result of participation in) the deliverygovernance (Delivery Process team).
Workas a project manager on specific projects on an ad-hoc basis as a wayto maintain relevant skills and contribute to project success
Ideally3 years or more in Project Management having managed teams with aproven Project Management methodology on one or more
mediumsized projects with full budget responsibility in a commercialenvironment.
Ideally3 years in IT solutions provider environment with knowledge ofSITA-like products and underlying technologies.
Master'sdegree or equivalent. - Formal project management training andcertification - PMP certified required
