Job Summary :
Novartis is currently searching for a Salesforce Global Release Manager to join the IT organization.
Job Purpose :
Salesforce Global Release Manager will own the release management lifecycle including scheduling, coordinating and managing the releases of our salesforce applications across the globe, aligned to both waterfall and agile methodologies.
Key Responsibilities :
Supports the definition of the release and deployment strategy including processes and tools
Executes, monitors and manages implementation of this strategy
Proposes, plans and implements continuous improvement initiates related to this strategy
Develops and owns the Salesforce CoE release calendar
Supports release planning across multiple Salesforce applications in parallel (including scoping, assessment and, where needed, re-planning)
Collaborates with all stakeholders involved in a release ensuring a timely delivery
Conducts impact assessments on existing services to ensure they are mitigated accordingly
Supports and contributes to preparation of release deployment plans including among others communication, training and knowledge transfer to user community and IT operations
Coordinates and operationally manages all aspects of the deployment
Reports release status in governance boards and to Solution Factory Manager
Represents release and deployment projects in change approval board meetings
Takes accountability to ensure adherence with Security and Compliance policies and procedures within Release & Deployment scope
Ensures adherence to the global Release and Deployment Management Process including code management, environment management and application handover
Coordinates "Early Life Support" after deployment
Ensures execution and ongoing and maintenance of project plan for release and deployment projects and monitor its progress

The ideal candidate will have :
Significant experience in a similar role with a proven track record in project delivery.
Experience with Salesforce and / or Veeva systems including technical integrations.
Proven capacity to engage in technical discussions and provide input to solution designs.
Proven track record in large, preferably global, multi-team projects dealing with complex process areas and business groups
University degree in business / technical area or equivalent professional certifications.
Ability to operate in matrix organization
Languages : Fluent English written and spoken
5+ years of experience in a solution design environment.
