PURPOSEWorking closely with the sales and solution design team, this individual will provide pricing and pre-sales financial analysis for bids support.

  • This role will provide structure, shape and negotiate pricing and financial aspects of bids to address customer needs whilst complying with SITA's financial risk and corporate policy requirements;
  • This role will provide an independent oversight of commercial activities policy and process in support of customer bids to drive financial viability and compliance to financial and business objectives while supporting business growth.

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES- Financial modelling support of applicable opportunities including items that will impact commercial terms & conditions (or will be impacted by such T & C's) price structure capital expenditure cash flow and customer offer / contract negotiations where required.

  • Bid team support of sales activity and Regional Management contact as required to effectively present and articulate financial and commercial aspects of new and existing business opportunities.
  • Develop and negotiate commercially and financially sound contracts with customers that provide high value to both SITA and the customer throughout the full life cycle of the contract with accommodation for growth.
  • Keep senior leadership in Commercial Management informed of all financial and pricing aspects of the deal including the deal profit and loss pricing capital investment cash flow and all necessary approvals.
  • Champion support for bids at the senior management level from a commercial perspective.- Obtain costs from Solution Design lead and help shape / challenge as appropriate based on deal requirements design-
  • to-cost parameters and the client's commercial requirements. Work with Solution Lines Solution Designers etc. to identify cost savings and productivity improvements in a given bid's solution and validate business assumptions.

  • Participate as part of a pursuit team to identify quantify and report financial risks associated with a bid. - Develop advocate and drive for optimum financial viability of the engagement under : A) SITA's guidelines and objectives (especially in terms of PTP maximum cash out and payback / DCF) coupled with B) client competition and market requirements.

  • Qualifications

    EXPERIENCE- 5+ years of commercial experience i ideally in telecommunications or IT Finance, Pricing or deal management experience for large global companies Highly desirable.

    KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS- Financial skills & understanding - ability to understand model shape and architect cash flow and P&L.

    Identify & articulate impacts of changes to commercial terms & conditions to the financial results / offer to both SITA and client.

    Ability to identify and link changes in financial requirements to commercial terms and vice versa. - Broad technical knowledge of IT software hosted integration-

    type projects and managed data network projects and bids.- Strong communications skills particularly related to articulating specific corporate strategy and commercial requirements for large or complex customer contracts at an executive level both internally and externally.

  • Ability to interact with senior executives to clearly articulate and negotiate complex and high value business propositions to internal audiences (discounted cash flow profitability risks etc.
  • as well as with clients (positioning of financial structuring benefits etc.).- Understanding of accounting concepts and ability to interact with senior management and customers with regards to topics covering balance sheet tax and revenue recognition issues.
