term sustainable returns Portfolio Analyst Risk and Governance This role will be functionally part of the BI Risk & Governance team, which understands and protects Execution Risk across the Barclays International (BI) Change (Project) Portfolio.
In essence checking on HOW we are delivering things. This is achieved by :
Ensuring our Change Initiatives (projects) are able to demonstrate they are compliant with Execution Risk policy
Working across the BI portfolio to promote an effective control environment
Providing Management Information to Group Risk, Execution Risk Governance Office as well as BI Senior Management forums
Identifying areas for continuous improvement
Providing guidance and training as required on best practise
Recognised as the centre of excellence for : Execution Risk and controls Lessons Learnt Thematic Risk and Issues The role will also be part of a wider Prague CoE Team, where successful candidates will be exposed to the other departments within the BI Portfolio space, which will enable good cooperation and a clear view of the wider strategy within BI. About the Role
Maintain central tool (Excel) to ensure Control Self Assessments (CSAs) are scheduled appropriately
Coordinate completion of Project / Programme CSA
Review and approval of Project / Programme CSA, providing feedback and challenge as appropriate to Project / Programme Managers
Provide advice and guidance on the minimum controls to Project / Programme Managers and PMOs.
Run training sessions on Execution Risk and Execution Risk compliance
Help produce and / or review appropriate MI reporting on compliance for Cross BI, Individual Initiatives, BI Leadership teams, ERGO (Execution Risk Governance Office), Barclays Internal Audit and Group Risk as required
Good understanding of Agile and Waterfall delivery methods
Excel (Intermediate) and Powerpoint
Ability to see the bigger picture, consider broader implications
Heightened sense of attention to detail
Excellent communication skills
