Job Summary :
Novartis is currently searching for a Service Operations Expert to join the IT team in Prague.
Job Purpose :
Support application life cycle management, including service and technology lifecycle management, service level management and process improvements, capacity management, etc. (140,000+ end points).
Support the internally and externally sourced IT services and ensure they delivered in accordance to Novartis IT standards and industry best practices.
Key Responsibilities :
Support activities related to major applications life cycle, including Internet Explorer, Edge, Oracle Java Runtime updates, application integration, proper security, patch and vulnerability management etc.
Supports external vendor and Novartis business IT as an escalation point for major applications issues.
Coordinates activities towards service delivery, incident management and issue resolution also collect and distribute knowledge about systems and services to enable effective support
Ensure services are delivered to the agreed SLA, including reviewing supplier performance based on the agreed SLAs and KPIs
Ensure proper incident and problem management, working to Identify, investigate, and report on incidents and drive identification of root cause where applicable.
Ensure appropriate operational service / procedures documentation are created and accepted by stakeholders
Accountable to ensure adherence with Security and Compliance policies and procedures within Operations Expert service scope

The ideal candidate will have :
5+ Years of industry experience (Internet Explorer, Edge, Java (JRE))
5+ Years of experience with application management
Knowledge of software deployment (MS SCCM)
Knowledge in PowerShell, VB scripting, VC++
Degree or relevant equivalent experience
Fluent English (written & spoken)
