The Senior Specialist is required to support the operation, planning and execution of projects in line with IT strategies related to Networking globally.
Services supported include but not limited to LAN, WAN, Wireless, Load Balancer, VPN, Network Optimization, DNS. It also requires a strong ability to collaborate with stakeholders across Managed partners, IT functional groups and Business.
We are looking for someone who is capable of working in a dynamic global environment operating in a 24 / 7 follow the sun model, with a broad understanding of Data Network as well as wide exposure to complex global network infrastructure setup.
The individual will need to demonstrate sound technical knowledge, good leadership qualities, strong communication and project management skills.
Primary activities / responsibilities
Will be directly responsible for the implementation of network projects and also oversee projects being implemented by the Managed Services provider.
Support the overall quality of the managed services and ensure adherence to service levels.
Act as technical escalation expert in one or many of the Data Network areas.
Troubleshoot complex network issues or major incidents globally.
Escalate issues that require executive attention.
Work with technical teams and business teams when developing standardized network solution and communication plans to provide an optimal end user experience.
Adhere to project management and ITIL best practices and methodologies across projects and service delivery while meeting time-
lines, budgets and business deliverables.
Ensure services or products are onboarded into operation following standard processes
Involve in other related global & regional initiatives and duties as directed by the management
Coach, mentor and motivate others in the team
Manage vendors and drive deliverables to meet target dates.
Education level :
Education : MSc Degree or BSc Degree or equivalent with relevant experience in Computer Science, Computer Science Engineering, Math, or equivalent experience
Experience / Technical Skills :
5-8 years in providing technical operation support and service delivery in Data Network and Unified Communication areas
Good exposure to Cisco, F5 and Juniper
Familiar with ITIL processes or similar best practices (Eg; Change, Incident, Problem management)
Demonstrated expertise in diagnosing and repairing complex data network problems.
A solid knowledge of networking technologies including Routing, Switching, Security, WAN Acceleration, Wireless LAN , Remote Access, Load Balancers, SDN, SD-
WAN, DNS, Content Distribution
Experience with scripting and DevOps tools (e.g. Python, GitHub, etc.) is a big advantage
Experience with Global IT operations following the sun support
Ability to deliver projects effectively
Industry recognized certifications such as CCNP / CCIE,
Excellent communication and negotiation skills within a matrix organization
Exhibit appropriate level of people management skills or experience is an added advantage
Fluent in English, in both verbal and written communication
Responsible and able to work under pressure with limited supervision
Ability to create positive relationships at all levels across different groups & teams.
Able to manage changing priorities and working on tight deadlines
Experience with working across technical teams and business teams to achieve common objectives and good customer experience.
