Job Summary :
Digital transformation is one of Novartis’ strategies in extending and accelerating access of our healthcare solutions to patients.
The Digital Capability Building Team sits within the Learning CoE, ensuring that Novartis is building digital capabilities in the most effective way.
This would include, but not be limited to, identifying, curating and managing key curricula, learning content and digital communities, to enable associates to effectively understand and execute Novartis’ digital strategy.
Job Purpose :
The Digital Capability Partner will act as strategic partner to the Digital Lighthouse Projects, Digital leadership teams, and learning and talent development teams of multiple business functions, supporting the development, and use of, digital learning and capability initiatives for those functions' associates.
Key Responsibilities :
Partner with the Digital Leadership teams, Digital Lighthouse Projects and HR, Learning and Organisational Development teams of multiple business functions (e.
g. GDD, NIBR, IT), to understand their digital capability, knowledge and skill requirements.
Lead the creation / management of digital knowledge (online content), digital skills framework, learning paths and curricula (using internal and external learning) that support the business function’s digital knowledge and skills strategy.
Accountable for the successful development and delivery of global digital skills and knowledge initiatives within their assigned business functions and projects, and for the cross-
Novartis sharing of knowledge, learnings, and capability solutions.
The Digital Capability Partner will use their domain expertise and influencing skills to work with the division head’s digital leadership team, talent and learning teams, in order to drive successful adoption of key content initiatives, supporting the digital skills capability needs of the various business functions.
Provide comprehensive digital subject expertise, learning / communications expertise and editorial direction for key Digital Capability Building initiatives, and further contribute by engaging with key stakeholders and domain experts within both Novartis, external partners and the digital health environment.
Act as a subject expert - within a HR / Learning context - for several digital domain areas, and use this expertise to drive cross-
divisional Communities of Practices.
Manage the communities of practice to ensure regular updates of content and that SMEs are actively engaged. Develop relationships with key digital and healthcare organisations (as required), internal and external domain experts, and use the insights from these relationships to develop insights and keep digital expertise up to date.
Use these insights to contribute to the content strategy of the Digital Capability Building team.

The ideal candidate will have :
Masters desirable, not required to be in Life Sciences
10+ years experience of leading or as primary lead contribution for communications, marketing or learning initiatives in a global organisation.
5+ years leading teams, or influencing leadership teams.
3+ years leading global programs in a multinational organisation.
3+ years direct experience working on projects with a primary digital component.
Experience in working in a matrix environment, leading or contributing to projects related to Talent Management, Organisation Development, and / or Talent Acquisition.
