Job Overview

Plant manager is responsible for managing and coordinating daily operations of a manufacturing plant. This includes developing efficiency strategies to ensure the plant meets production goals and standards at minimal manufacturing costs.

The plant manager works directly with department heads to coordinate purchasing, production and distribution operations as well as Engineering, Planning and Maintenance.

Conducting performance reviews and meetings, positively representing the company at corporate meetings, and making sure the plant is a safe and clean environment for workers.

He is also responsible with the overall morale of plant workers and will need to keep in constant communication with them to make sure jobs are getting done right and communication is strong and professional amongst workers.

The role will be located in our facility in Trutnov, Czech Republic

Responsibilities & Qualifications

Main Tasks

  • Direct and coordinate plant operations within company policies and procedures.
  • Initiative plans and processes which minimize manufacturing costs through effective utilization of manpower, equipment, facilities, materials, and capital.
  • Implement manufacturing strategies and action plans to ensure that the facility supports corporate strategi initiatives
  • Maintain a clean and safe plant.
  • Establish and direct plant policies and procedures, keep corporate lines
  • Responsible for plant production goals.
  • Establish group and individual accountabilities throughout assigned departments for problem solving and cost reduction, both on a permanent and ad-
  • hoc basis, depending on need.

  • Assure that collective bargaining agreements are effectively administered.
  • Improve manpower utilization within existing departments and processes. Schedule stability that allows for maximum return on efficiencies.
  • Manage spending against budget and in relation to changes in production volume.
  • Establish and maintain a positive community relationship
  • Foster a well-trained and motivated staff
  • Conduct employee performance reviews
  • Schedule and conduct plant meetings
  • Responsible for the product quality control for the plant
