Job Summary :
Novartis is currently searching for a Financial Controls & Compliance Specialist to join the Finance team in Prague.
Job Purpose :
Financial Controls & Compliance Specialist will support the FC&C Manager in ensuring compliance with Internal Controls over Financial Reporting, Novartis Financial Controls Manual (NFCM) and SOX 404 requirements.
Key Responsibilities :
Ensure compliance with the Internal Controls over Financial Reporting, Novartis Financial Controls Manual (NFCM) and SOX 404 requirements
Understand business processes, review the documentation and have a good understanding of key risks and mitigating controls
Participate in process walkthroughs as required / requested
Perform independent testing of controls and support SOX 404 attestation processes
Provide required NFCM deliverables according to the communicated schedule
Support internal and external audits
Participation on ad hoc projects.

The ideal candidate will have :
University level degree in Business Administration / Economics / Finance or Chartered Accountant
Excellent English (written and spoken).
3-5 years of financial experience, with in-depth functional expertize
Previous experience in External Audit, Big 4, Internal Audit and Compliance
Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a multi-national organization
Good people skills
